Opera Hotel Koeln - Cologne

The hotel is tucked away on a small, quiet street, just a short walk from the bustling shopping avenue and famous sights like the Cathedral. I loved the breakfast spread. It was nice and filled with decent options. The reception staff were helpful. I did run into issues with hot water. My shower was often lukewarm, quite frustrating, especially during the colder mornings. The room I got was modern but smaller than expected, lacking space for my luggage. All in all, it has good points but definitely some areas needing attention.

Friendly helpful staff who spoke excellent English; comfortable bed, compact furnishings with everything you may need; big airy breakfast room with good selection of food; availability of both smoking and non-smoking rooms; location in quiet street only 100 yards/metres from main pedestrian street and less than 10 minutes walk from cathedral (and railway station); low-cost local parking. Excellent value for money on all counts !

Complicated to reach by car without a GPS or a detailed map showing one-way and pedestrian streets (well-known itinerary web sites don't always know/show them).

I had a great time during my short stay. the breakfast was fantastic, and the clean, spacious room made it a cozy retreat despite some WiFi issues.

Perfectly located near the main shopping street and other attractions, convenient parking, breakfast includes everything you need, quite friendly staff.

The room was very cool, the TV shown only 3 channels, it was a bit noisy in the morning when it started breakfast, dinner room was located next to my room on 2! floor.reception closed at 23.00, how are placed recent visitors, I didn't know!

Clean rooms with good drying space for laundry. Simple buffet breakfast offering standard German fare, decent enough to kickstart the day.

Hot water issues plagued my stay. Many times, I couldn't get a warm shower when I needed it. Expect an old carpet in the room and no air-conditioning to cool it down. Stay away if you're a light sleeper. Sounds from nearby bars can keep you up at night.

The location was very central and only a stone's throw from the High St. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Parking was not available on site but it was half price

Rather bland characterless modern hotel

The evening atmosphere in the cozy lobby made the stay enjoyable, complementing the well-furnished room despite basic amenities. The nearby local dining options were a highlight, making for an easy and engaging dining experience.

We were 3 and the room was spacious. The room was very quiet as requested. The hotel was very well located.

1 - The pillow !!! It was of a good quality but really too high. 2- The bathroom, bad evacuation of water in the bath. 3 -We do not eat salty things at breakfast. It was a pitty that there were no fresh fruits nor yogourt !!

The hotel is very well located in the middle of the city, 5-10 minutes from the dom and the train station. It is also 5 minutes away from the Rhein where you find all the restaurants and bars !
